Jeff Rochwerg Lawyer
Jeff is a workplace investigator and employment lawyer who provides responsive, compassionate, and pragmatic advice to both employees and employers.
As a workplace investigator, Jeff is regularly retained by public and private sector employers to conduct thorough yet focused multi-party investigations on a range of complex issues including harassment and discrimination, workplace and sexual violence, policy breaches, conduct concerns, and financial improprieties.
As an advocate, Jeff advises on a broad range of workplace issues including discipline and termination of employment, contracts and policies, severance negotiations, employment standards compliance, accommodations, and all types of workplace disputes.
Prior to joining Turnpenney Milne LLP, Jeff practiced at full-service and management-side labour and employment firms and worked as in-house counsel at one of Canada’s largest public sector organizations. This breadth of experience shapes his client-centred approach: empathetic, practical, and focused on mitigating risk while aligning with business and personal realities.
Jeff frequently writes and speaks on employment and human resources issues, with contributions to outlets such as Canadian HR Reporter.
Jeff earned his JD from Osgoode Hall Law School (2013), holds an MA in Political Science from Carleton University (2008) and graduated with a BA (Hons.) in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario (2006). He was called to the Ontario bar in 2014.
Outside of practice, Jeff can be found chasing his two sons, obsessing over food, trying to learn piano, and impatiently waiting for the Leafs to win the Cup.
