Lindy is a workplace investigator at Turnpenney Milne LLP. She has conducted investigations for a wide range of clients across sectors, including municipalities and provincial entities, private sector corporations and non-profit organizations, in both unionized and non-unionized environments.

Lindy has significant experience with investigations involving sensitive subject matter such as sexual harassment, sexual violence, discrimination and positional power. She has also developed a growing specialization in the sports sector, building on her work with sports organizations to expand this key area of her practice. She is recognized for managing complex, high-stakes files with fairness, professionalism and care for the impact on all parties involved.

In addition to her investigations practice, Lindy regularly contributes to the field through training, speaking and publications on workplace matters. She has co-presented at national conferences and webinars on topics such as supervisory harassment, misconduct in academic settings, and investigations involving neurodivergent parties. Her written work includes articles on privilege in workplace investigations, preventing the misuse of non-disclosure agreements, and Ontario’s new pay transparency and AI disclosure laws. Her articles have appeared in publications including Canadian HR Reporter and Mondaq.

Lindy is a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI).

Before joining Turnpenney Milne LLP , Lindy practised litigation for six years at a boutique firm, representing both plaintiffs and defendants at all stages of proceedings. Lindy earned her JD from Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law in 2015 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2016.

Outside of practice, she enjoys sailing, travelling, and reading.
