Michelle Folliott Lawyer
Michelle is an experienced employment lawyer, advisor and investigator focused on helping organizations build healthy, productive and resilient workplaces.
Prior to joining Turnpenney Milne LLP, Michelle practised law at a leading management-side labour and employment firm and held leadership roles at one of Ontario’s largest public sector employers, where she established industry-leading human rights, ethics and investigations functions. Michelle leverages this background to provide clients with real-world, sustainable solutions to complex workplace challenges.
Michelle partners with clients to conduct effective investigations, provide practical advice and develop proactive, equity-centered strategies, programs and policy frameworks. Michelle has been recognized with several national awards, including Canada’s Top 10 Diversity & Culture Impact Leader, and is a sought-after speaker and trainer, delivering engaging content from current issue keynotes to customized training at the executive and board-level.
Michelle was called to the Ontario bar in 2013 and holds a J.D. from the University of Toronto and a B.A. from York University. In her free time, Michelle loves to putter in her garden, escape into a good book and lose at chess to her 10-year-old.
