Advanced Workplace Investigation Skills

For Professionals And Those Providing Senior Oversight

Moving beyond the nuts and bolts of conducting workplace investigations, this program develops competencies that experienced investigators, human resource professionals, and union representatives need to excel in their roles.

Through case studies, mock interviews, and practical writing exercises, participants will strengthen their ability to:

  • Recognize and mitigate unconscious bias
  • Conduct threshold assessments effectively
  • Make sound credibility findings
  • Weigh evidence appropriately
  • Write clear, defensible reports
  • Make remedial recommendations
  • Investigate complex, multi-party complaints
  • Address allegations of systemic discrimination

This program is designed for professionals who conduct workplace investigations as part of their role, as well as those who provide senior oversight and direction to investigators. The program length typically ranges from two to three full days (or equivalent half-day sessions).

Completion of a foundational workplace investigations program, or comparable experience, is recommended.
