Emile is a passionate advocate and believes in using a trauma-informed approach to achieve the best and most fair results for all in the workplace.
Emile graduated from Queen’s University Faculty of Law, receiving her Juris Doctor degree and a Certificate in Public International Law. She was named to the Dean’s Honour List for placing in the top 10% of her class in 2L and 3L. While at Queen’s Law, Emile was a devoted caseworker at Queen’s Prison Law Clinic and worked hard to advocate for the rights of incarcerated people in the Kingston area and beyond. Emile also completed an internship with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
Prior to joining Turnpenney Milne LLP, Emile summered and articled at a leading litigation firm in Toronto, focusing on labour and employment law and class actions. Emile was also previously a federal public servant before starting law school.
Emile enjoys trying new restaurants, film photography, and taking painting and spin classes in her spare time.
