Turnpenney Milne LLP offers organizations individualized Workplace Investigation training. These sessions are customized but generally coach employers through the investigation process, from receipt of a complaint through to making findings and writing a report. The sessions provide an overview of the legal obligations of an employer, with additional reference to practical tips and the best practices that exist when an investigation is being conducted.
At the conclusion of the training, attendees are presented with a suite of tools that are highly effective in building a more positive team environment, post-investigation. These include workplace restoration in all of its various forms including mediation, facilitation, team-building exercises and the like.
Workplace Investigation training can take place over one or two days. For two-day sessions, the first day focuses more on instruction around best practices and legal obligations to investigate. The second day develops attendee’s practical/ hands-on skills with the use of mock investigation interviews and investigation report writing. One-day sessions offer a condensed version of the same curriculum. All sessions are be customized to an organization’s specific needs.
Train the trainer sessions are also offered where special attention is paid to ensuring a comprehensive understanding of concepts and best practices for method of delivery.
